In this special two part series, we decided to switch things around, and give you the opportunity to hear our answers to questions from our experience as international master trainers and having consulted for fitness businesses all over the world. For these episodes we brought on Jessica Sandow- an instructor in Oakland California, and our very own FCM Community Manager to come up with questions based on what she’s seen you ask in the FCM Community like “what do you do to stay inspired to continue delivering amazing class experiences” or “do you ever struggle to get your own workouts in”, to what she would like to know as an instructor, like “what do you do to reset a room when it feels like everything is going off the rails” and also just some fun questions like what our favorite movies are so you get the chance to know us better.
Here’s the Complete List of Tips:
(4:45) Do either of you have an example or strategy that you use to reset a room in a class when it feels like everything is falling apart?
How do you reset and get grounded to best hold space for the people in the room?
(15:30) How do you refill your cup so you can ensure you give the best of yourself and create the best experience for your clients?
Teaching multiple classes can be emotionally exhausting! What do you do to ensure you can give the best of yourself?
(22:45) If you had to rank in order of importance, personality, coaching skills, passion and commitment, and being a team player, how would you order these?
All four of these qualities are extremely important in a fitness professional- but what are the most important?
(29:45) If you could only choose one way to move or sweat, and you could only do the same workout every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
There are so many! How could you choose just one?
(31:45) Do you ever struggle with getting your own workouts in?
After teaching so much- sometimes going back to a studio or gym is the last thing we want to do!
