Reynaldo Reyna

Founder/Owner CrossFit Modulus

In this fascinating conversation with a frankly, brilliant studio owner we talk about how he has created a completely automated, data driven, personalized experience in his studio that his clients cannot possibly replicate at home. Listen as he talks about how everything, from the workout, to the coaching, to the followup email sequences are personalized to the individual that the client is, and what they need from their coach on that particular day when they come in. This unique environment he has created allows coaches to do what they are supposed to do- which is to really observe people and educate them on what they can do better, rather than merely telling clients what weights to use and shouting general motivational encouragement. We also discuss how utilizing data and automation has allowed my guest infinitely more time to not only enjoy his own business as a participant, but also pursue the things he’s passionate about personally. Stay tuned to the end of the episode where we talk about how you too can create a data driven experience.

Most people program in absolute terms- 100 deadlifts at 225. It should be- you will do 100 at your 50%- change it to relative programming- depending on your one rep max, you’ll be assigned YOUR workout
